HEALTH DAY IN CONJUNCTION WITH WORLD'S
    LIONS SERVICE DAY & WORLD SIGHT DAY.
    (8th October 2000)

      A major service project carried out to promote Health Care, Blood Donation Drive & Sight Conservation to the public with talks on Ecstasy Pills Abuse and Heart Attack.

      1. Blood Donation collected 25 bags with more than 15 cases cannot be accepted due to below age limit and low haemoglobin level.

      2. Blood Pressure, Glucose and Cholesterol Tests conducted on 131 persons.

      3. Bone Density Test for women and men above age of 50 years - 45 Tests.

      4. SightFirst Eye Testing - 65 testing

      5. Body Fat Test for obesity people - 56 persons

      6. Children Deworming - 76 dosage dispense

      7. Talk by the Police Narcotics Branch on Ecstasy Pills Abuse

      8. Talk on Heart Attacks by Dr. Mah Hang Soon, Cardiologist Consultant on ISC Ipoh.
      The event was officiated by YB Dato' Chang Ko Youn, State Assembly Exco Member and
      Committee Chairman of Municipality and Local Government. The press that provide coverage
      on the event day were Sin Chew Jit Poh, Nanyang, China Press, The Star and New Straits Times.
